Why Prices Vary
Most Basketball Goals have their parts separated into four categories: the vertical pole, the backboard, the pole “arm” that connects the vertical pole to the backboard, and the rim. Each Unit has many customizable options in each part depending on customer needs, but are not completely interchangeable. For example, a 5″x 5″ vertical pole is NOT COMPATIBLE with a 4″x 4″ pole “arm”, and not every backboard that fits on a 6″ x 6″ arm fits on a 4″ x 4″ arm.
That is why each basketball goal is summarized into “series” in which each basketball goal within a series varies by 1 or 2 parts but remains compatible. THE MOST customizable option and reason for price variance starts with the backboard. Price varies based off size, shape, weight, and material. It is best to call us with questions so we can help you choose which basketball goal within a series is right for you, and see our backboard page for more information. Please Note: manufacturer matters. If you want a SportsPlay backboard on a First Team Basketball Goal, we will not do this.
Prices also vary with base-plate options, but not by much. The extra security costs $80-$90 depending on the size of the vertical pole of the basketball goal.

Some pictures feature letters going along the vertical pole. We offer free custom lettering on most, but not all padding with the purchase of a complete system. Please call us for details!
